About me and my therapy practice

Reaching out for help is a brave step when you may be going through difficulties in life, yet I believe therapy has the power to change people’s lives. I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore your experiences and feelings, working on an open-ended basis or for a fixed period of time. I offer sessions in Headingley, Leeds and online.

At the core of my work is the creation of a space where clients can feel safe, respected fully as a unique individual, valued for their own particular life experiences and feelings. As a relational therapist, my approach is to forge a strong alliance of trust where the feelings and thoughts that you have toward yourself can be recognised and explored.

My work is aimed at enabling each individual to live their life more fully. I have experience of working with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, bereavement, grief, difficulties in relationships, abuse and divorce.

I have significant experience and interest in supporting men with their mental health, particularly with people who have had a difficult relationship with their father.

I also incorporate my broad experience of working in education, having supported young people with their pastoral and academic needs for over twenty years.

Having witnessed for myself just how transformational therapy can be, through confronting significant challenges in my own life, our work together will be aimed at your understanding yourself better in relation to the world, and understanding your symptoms in a different way.

Practice description
