About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Will, a welcoming counsellor and psychotherapist based in Leeds offering online and phone sessions to adults. I am an integrative therapist, which means that I draw from different therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs and goals, rather than rely on only one method. I am here to help you find your way to the life that you want to lead.
How can I help?
You may be struggling with anxiety, stress, or anger. You may be feeling numb, low, or lost. You might be having difficulties in your relationship, at work, after a bereavement or in other aspects of your life. You could also be noticing a pattern which keeps repeating that you want to change.
As you are unique, I believe your counselling should be too, and I will tailor my approach to suit you. That might mean that our sessions are a space for you to talk through your thoughts about your issues or work through your feelings at a pace that suits you. They might involve me offering a new perspective, thought-provoking questions, or agreeing tasks for you to do between appointments. They could focus on exploring your experiences to find what is outside of your awareness or working out ways for you to deal with situations differently. I will not tell you what to do, but I will help you come to your own decisions.
What is my life experience?
Prior to becoming a therapist, I taught English as a foreign language in Italy, and I worked in office roles in health and higher education. In 2019 I went to Sierra Leone for two weeks to teach Maths and English to local children. I have benefitted from counselling myself while facing personal challenges and I know it can help you too.
How much does it cost?
I offer an initial introductory session for £30.
After that, individual 50-minute sessions would cost £55, or you can make a block booking of 6 sessions at a discounted price of £300.
Practice description
I have run a private practice in Leeds for five years working with a wide variety of clients and issues including depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, stress, anger, anxiety, and trauma. Before that, I volunteered at Bradford Counselling Services offering short-term therapy to a diverse group of clients from a range of backgrounds.
I offer online and phone sessions to clients throughout the UK aged 18 and over.
