About me and my therapy practice
Are you looking to make a positive change in your life? Are you wondering how to achieve this? Seeking a therapist with whom you are at ease, will be the first positive step towards making this change.
I will walk alongside you, either as an individual as you begin to develop your self-awareness and reconnect with your belief in yourself, discovering new positive ways of being ‘you’ and making choices in your life, which you are happy and comfortable with.
A small selection of the concerns, which I have worked successfully with: -
Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Isolation, Trauma
Sexual, Physical and Emotional Abuse.
Sexuality.
Love, Relationships, Couples, Affairs, Betrayal
So, whatever the personal challenge you are facing, I will be here to listen to you.
My Background and Counselling Experience
I have been working with people in crisis since 1991 and I have experience in the areas of trauma, sexual abuse and grief, although my work takes in many other areas of life experiences. In my early career, I worked for 22 years across health and social care in a variety of roles within the context of 'disability'.
Alongside my Private Practice, I work in a specialist area, as a Practitioner working with both male and female survivors of sexual abuse, sexual exploitation and sexual violence.
As a qualified tutor, I have designed and delivered counselling training to both adult learners and professionals working in this area.
I am also a Clinical Supervisor, working in depth with the relationship between Practitioner and Client.

About me and my therapy practice
What might your expectations of supervision be?
How might you and I work collaboratively towards desired outcomes and positive changes for your clients?
How might we safely practice the principles and moral values that underpin our work, for us to provide a basis for good and safe practice?
In our supervision time together, I will provide a caring, supportive and non-judgemental environment.
We will work together to build that all important alliance, to help you as a professional to navigate what your experiences are.
Feeling supported and emotionally safe is paramount. Then we will be able to use our skills in an exploratory process to reflect in depth, about the various aspects of your practice.
As a supervisor I will offer you my honesty and respect.
I will work hard to get a good balance between support and challenge.
