About me and my therapy practice
I aim to provide a warm, supportive and consistent space to encourage you to find ways to explore your thoughts and feelings. I believe that the therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor is very important, as is the need to feel safe in the therapeutic environment. To this end I am reliable, calm, empathic and honest with my clients. Within our sessions my integrative training allows me to draw on different ideas and approaches, meaning I can tailor my work for each individual person.
Practice description
I work primarily in person from my comfortable counselling room in Shaftesbury. There is easy parking and transport links, lift access and toilets are available.
I can also provide online sessions if that is easier for you.
I am able to offer daytime and evening appointments.
My first session
It is hard to choose a counsellor from a written description and so I think it is important to meet initially to enable us both to decide if we are a good 'fit'.
I offer an initial 30 minute session free of charge. During this time we can talk briefly about what brings you to counselling and what you might be hoping to achieve.
