About me and my therapy practice
I'm a qualified and secondary school counsellor (BACP Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling), an NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), ARTiculate and a Drawing and Talking practitioner as well as a trained practitioner for disordered eating.
I have many years’ experience offering emotional support to adults, young adults and children with all sorts of worries and issues.
I'm also a qualified supervisor offering supervision to counsellors and trainee counsellors.
I'm a volunteer counsellor for the Community Bereavement Service and Macmillan Jersey and a former funeral director so experienced in dealing with bereavement and working through loss.
Having been a Samaritan for many years, I can offer an empathic listening ear and give people the opportunity to really be heard.
In addition, I am a qualified mediator, trained to help separated or divorced couples with communication, child contact and finances. As part of this role, I work with children and young adults so their voice can be heard as part of the process.
I also co-ordinate and deliver a programme with Silkworth Charity Group which supports children and young adults affected by addiction as well as offering counselling to young adults in recovery.
How does counselling work?
Counselling sessions offer you the space and time to be yourself, without judgement. They offer the opportunity to talk confidentially about how you're feeling, to explore issues, worries and problems and to work on things you want to be different.
My role is to be alongside you to help you find your own answers and the way that seems best for you. I can support you with changing things and various tools and techniques to help you beyond your counselling sessions.

As well as sessions in the traditional counselling room setting, I offer walking counselling and counselling in nature sessions.
