About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced, integrative counsellor, counselling tutor and supervisor trained in person-centred and psychodynamic approaches. I offer both short and long-term counselling to adults in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire and via online video. Using an integrative approach enables me, with my knowledge and experience, to adapt my therapeutic model to suit my client's needs; enabling change in the most beneficial way possible.
I have been supporting clients for over 12 years with a variety of difficulties. These included depression, anxiety, identity, trauma, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, recovery from abuse or life transitions such as loss. I have worked in various therapeutic settings and held a private practice throughout.
We all know life can be tough at times so if you are currently finding life difficult then you are not alone. Sometimes we need a little extra support in order to work through and understand what is happening to us. It can however be hard to appreciate how simply talking to a therapist can be helpful particularly if you have never experienced counselling before. But talking to someone who has been trained to listen and respond in a certain way can be profoundly helpful. If you are feeling stressed, depressed or struggling to like yourself then talking about how this is making you feel can begin to bring resolution and clarity.

About me and my therapy practice
Supervision is a requirement for anyone working in the counselling profession and indeed in many other helping professions. Most professional bodies will have their own minimum requirements which members are expected to meet. For example the BACP requires members to have a minimum of 1.5 hours of supervision per month.
Although supervision is a formal arrangement it is much more than overseeing another counsellors work. It is a collaborative relationship where supervisor and supervisee “work together to ensure and develop the efficacy of the counsellor/client relationship” (BACP)
