About me and my therapy practice
Hello. I am an experienced BACP-registered counselling therapist offering a confidential and supportive space to talk about whatever is troubling you. That may be something specific, such as anxiety, depression or relationship issues, or a more general feeling that things aren't right that you can't quite put your finger on.
I work in a warm and empathic way to explore your thoughts and feelings. I won't judge or tell you what to do. When we feel stuck it can be hard to change things or to find a way out. I therefore seek to help you make sense of your situation, to gain awareness of how you relate to yourself and others and ultimately increase your ability to make the changes in your life that you want to make.
Visit my website for more information about my practice and please get in touch if you have any questions.
Practice description
I offer online sessions via Zoom.
I recommend weekly counselling sessions at a regular time each week as my experience has shown that this is most effective. If you require sometime different please get in touch and we can discuss what might be possible.
Sessions last 50 minutes and we will work with whatever challenges you are facing in a supportive, non-judgemental and empathic way and at your pace.
Through counselling I aim to support you to gain more self awareness, self compassion and choice in how you respond to the inevitable challenges of life.
My first session
I offer a reduced price initial consultation (£20) during which we will discuss what brought you to counselling, what you'd like to gain from counselling, a bit about how I work and the practicalities.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have or raise any concerns or worries. No questions are too silly! We can then decide if it feels like a good fit and schedule in future sessions.
Types of therapy
Existential, Gestalt, Humanistic, Person centred, Phenomenological
Clients I work with
Adults, Older adults, Trainees, Young people
How I deliver therapy
Online therapy
Features
- Flexible hours available
Availability
I currently have availability for both online and face to face sessions - please get in touch to see if we can find a mutually convenient time
About me and my therapy practice
Hello and a warm welcome. It can be confusing trying to find a therapist. There are so many of us out there! I offer an initial session for £30 so that you can meet me, find out more about how I work and discuss what it is you are looking for. That may be something specific, such as anxiety, depression, relationship or identity issues, or a more general feeling that things aren't right that you can't quite put your finger on.
After the initial session, you will probably have a sense of whether or not you want to book in further sessions. Either is OK.
When we feel stuck it can be hard to change things or to find a way out on our own. I can help you to make sense of your situation and how you relate to yourself and others. With more awareness and self compassion comes greater choice in how you respond to the inevitable challenges of life.
Each therapeutic relationship is unique. I aim to work in a way that is affirming of your identity, race, culture, ability, sexuality, gender and neurotype.
I have many years’ experience working in private practice and with local community mental health services and charities and within the NHS.
