Availability

I work remotely through my online private practice, Saiyna Therapy, specializing in perinatal support and rare genetic diagnoses. I currently have availability for new clients. If you're looking for support, I have openings on most weekdays including Fridays during the daytime. Let’s connect and explore how I can support you on your journey.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer online therapy to help you feel less anxious, manage stress, navigate loss, and build self-acceptance and confidence. With expertise in attachment, perinatal issues, genetic diagnoses, and loss & bereavement, I create a safe, understanding space where you can explore and address your challenges.

My approach involves understanding how your early childhood experiences, past, and current relationships impact the difficulties you’re facing today. I have a special interest in genetics and am experienced in providing counseling to adults with rare genetic conditions, as well as parents of children with complex medical needs. My extensive previous experience as a genetic counsellor in the NHS working with Huntington's Disease families through Enroll-HD and Legato-HD has deepened my understanding of the unique challenges faced.

I am also dedicated to supporting clients through all stages of pregnancy, including those who have experienced miscarriage or loss. It’s never easy to take the first step and open up to someone, but I’m here to offer a compassionate, supportive space where you can begin your healing journey.

As a therapist, I work safely and ethically within the BACP framework, bringing humility and care to our sessions. My background as a genetic counsellor in the NHS enriches my work, allowing me to provide specialized support tailored to your needs.

Let’s connect and take that first step together.

Practice description

I offer flexible online counselling tailored to your needs, blending a humanistic and attachment-based approach with techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), and Mindfulness. My goal is to create a supportive and understanding space where you can explore your challenges and work toward change.

I have extensive experience in supporting clients navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the complex emotions surrounding bereavement and loss. I’m particularly passionate about supporting clients during the pre and postnatal periods, offering specialized care for those experiencing the unique pressures of pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood.

In addition, I bring expertise in working with clients facing rare genetic conditions and complex medical needs. Whether you're dealing with the impact of a genetic diagnosis or caring for a child with complex needs, I’m here to provide compassionate, informed support.

Let’s connect and work together to enhance your well-being.

My first session

Before beginning our work together, I offer a 50-minute initial consultation. This session is designed to explore your hopes for counselling and to discuss how we can best work together. We’ll talk about what to expect, how I approach therapy, and the details of our working agreement.

There’s no obligation to continue after this consultation—this time is for you to decide if counselling feels right for you at this moment. To make this first step easier, the initial consultation is offered at half the regular session fee.
