About me and my therapy practice

Hi there, I'm Lucy - an experienced, BACP registered therapist.

I am warm and down to earth in the way that I work and have many years experience in both Private Practice, delivering the NHS Talking Therapies Programme for anxiety and depression and offering counselling via an Employee Assistance Programme.

I can help with things like; anxiety, low mood / depression, bereavement, identity issues, low self-esteem, work-related stress and many other emotional well-being issues that may bring a person to counselling.

You might be going through a particularly difficult period in life, perhaps you've just not been feeling like your usual self, or you might feel it would be helpful to explore your past, your relationships, or work on increasing your self awareness and understanding.

I am an Integrative therapist which means I offer counselling tailored to your individual needs and I use elements from different types of therapy. Every client who walks through the door is different and unique and we will work together in a collaborative way to help you explore and cope with your problems

I offer in person sessions, as well as either online or telephone sessions, depending on your preferences.

During our work together I could help you to;

* Explore difficult emotions and experiences

* Set and work towards goals

* Work on changing unhelpful thoughts or behaviours

* Find coping strategies that work for you

Practice description

For some people the prospect of starting counselling can feel daunting, please rest assured this is a common feeling and I am here to help and support you in talking about the issues that are on your mind.

My office is in Piccadilly Gardens in Central Manchester.

I also offer online or telephone sessions for clients who prefer to meet remotely.

I am able to offer a limited number of places at a reduced rate for those on a low income.

My first session

I believe it is really important to find the right therapist for you. Therefore, before you decide if you would like to work with me, I offer an initial telephone consultation, which is free of charge.

During this first call we will talk about your needs and expectations, how we might work together and you can ask me any questions you may have.

If you would like to book an initial consultation please email me and I will get back to you quickly, usually within 24 hours.
