About me and my therapy practice
As a BACP Accredited and Registered Integrative Psychotherapist you will receive a warm welcome, friendly face and professional service.
I work relationally with my clients, where I am deeply respectful of peoples' difficulties and understand that it can be a struggle to present issues that evoke powerful emotions.
I understand shame, embarrassment and I work very hard at assisting people to overcome these matters. I have twenty eight years of experience of Counselling Young People and Adults on a wide range of issues. I hold over a decade of being a School based Counsellor and been involved in of various Counselling Projects.
I hold a Youth Service Award for Developing Practice and Innovation within Counselling. I hold an enhanced and up to date DBS check.
A little more about being an Integrative therapist, this refers to the theoretical approach that I use within my work and I will tailor make the therapeutic work to suit the persons' needs. At the centre of all of my work is the person that I am working with and I value this relationship highly.
I work with Individual adults, I also work with Young People aged 11 years and over.
Practice description
When you get in contact with me, I will endeavour to respond to your enquiry swiftly. If I do not have any availability I will communicate this.
During the first appointment, I will explain how the service works and we can discuss your needs and what has brought you to seek therapeutic support. We can discuss how we can work together and complete the assessment part and we will complete the contracting stage which I will discuss with you. We can cover any questions that you might have at this stage.
With Young People under 18 years we will complete the contracting stage together with a parent or guardian to ensure we all understand the safeguarding nature of the work and how we will work together and the modality (face to face/video/telephone) and the arrangements for appointments.
My first session
The first session will encompass the assessment and a plan of how we will work together and we can reflect at the end how the session has gone.

About me and my therapy practice
I work as Clinical Supervisor, supervising various counselling modalities.
I provide a safe space to review the counselling practice, support the therapeutic work and keep both the Supervisee and clients safe. I am keen to support my supervisees to grow and develop.
Supervision is a respectful, relational collaboration of discussion, exploration and sharing in a confidential setting to ensure standards, ethical practice and support needs are met.
I have eighteen years of experience as a Clinical Supervisor and it is a wonderful role to be able to observe the fantastic work, the committment and healing that practioners offer.
I work flexibly within supervision and offer telephone, video, face to face sessions or a blended approach which suits the needs of supervisees/location and lifestyle.
Practice description
I work within the BACP Counselling Framework for the Counselling Professions.
I work with both experienced and trainee counsellors.
I have a counselling and psychotherapy teaching background which has enhanced the understanding of the developmental journey that counsellors are on from training onwards. This includes being an External Verifier for over fifteen years. This has helped me see the different training routes and course provisions that support a practioners' development.
I worked as a BACP accreditation assessor and understand the process and committment to this.
I have twenty eight years of counselling young people and I supervise young people’s counsellors.
