I offer sessions Mondays to Saturdays including some evenings.
I offer remote sessions, allowing me to provide therapy to people from outside of Greater Manchester, and meaning location doesn’t have to be a barrier.
I also offer a limited number of face-to-face sessions in east Manchester.
About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Ceri, a dedicated and empathetic person-centred counsellor committed to fostering healing and personal growth.
Alongside seeing private clients, I am currently working with a cancer charity in an NHS setting, speaking to clients with a current or previous diagnosis of cancer and their family members (including bereaved), as well as working with a housing charity, with people who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing homelessness.
My journey as a counsellor has equipped me with a wealth of experience in supporting individuals facing a diverse range of challenges. I specialise in helping those grappling with life-limiting illnesses, health anxiety, generalised anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, boundary setting, caring duties, different family situations, low self-esteem, grief and bereavement, loss, workplace stress, and general dissatisfaction with life.
Taking the first step can often be the hardest and I encourage you, having taken the step to look at different counsellors, to get in touch with someone and see how we can help you keep moving forward. If you think that might be me, I would be more than happy to offer you an initial chat to answer any questions you might have.
Practice description
Recognising the unique needs of each individual, I provide a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.
My person-centred approach puts you at the heart of your therapeutic journey, promoting autonomy and self-discovery. Together, we'll explore the complexities of your experiences, empowering you to take an active role in shaping your own path to healing.
We will work towards understanding, growth, and healing. Whether you're navigating a difficult life transition, seeking clarity on your identity, or coping with mental and/or physical health challenges, I am here to guide you with compassion and expertise.
I am passionate about giving you space to be heard and understood as well as room to process and understand any aspect that is troubling you.
My first session
I believe it’s important to find someone to talk to that you are comfortable with. I therefore offer a 30-minute session online or over the phone, to meet each other and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. This is not a commitment to start therapy with me, but it can be helpful to calm any anxieties about therapy and to think about whether we would work well together.
Our first session would aim to build a wider picture of your life so far, looking at a timeline, key relationships and events, and any milestones. It’s an opportunity to see how therapy can help you as well as help form early goals, to support the following sessions.
What I can help with
Anxiety, Bereavement, Cancer, Depression, Health related issues, Identity issues, Loss, Mood disorder, Post-traumatic stress, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Stress, Trauma, Work related issues
Types of therapy
