Hello.....I'm Becky, a qualified, psychotherapeutic counsellor and registered Member of the BACP.
I am passionate about my work and care deeply about supporting people to explore the issues that matter most to them.
We can all face times of crisis and difficulty in our lives, times where we might feel unable to see things clearly. We can feel confused, distressed, overwhelmed and sometimes stuck and unable to find a route forward. Deciding to come to counselling can feel daunting and making that first contact can be one of the hardest steps to make. I really do understand this, and assure you of a warm welcome.
I offer a safe, confidential space in which you will be met with compassion, understanding and sensitivity to talk about the issues you are experiencing and the impact they are having on your life.
About me and my therapy practice
I am trained to use an integrative approach to counselling which means I draw from a variety of theories to suit each individual person. Your best interests and well-being are my central focus and I will work with you to establish your needs and goals.
My aim is to work with warmth, empathy and acceptance for who you are as a person and support you to understand the feelings you are experiencing.
I fully appreciate how daunting it can feel to search for the right therapist. I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation in which you are welcome to contact me and explore how counselling could support you.
Practice description
My therapy room is located in the Worcestershire village of Blakedown, close to Kiddermister. Peaceful and welcoming, you can be assured of complete privacy and a safe, comfortable environment in which you can explore your current difficulties and the issues that matter most to you.
Fully insured, I am also qualified and experienced in providing telephone and online counselling. I look forward to discussing which option feels right for you.
My first session
I believe that the relationship between you and your therapist is key and it is important that you feel comfortable talking to me. Your first session is an opportunity for us to meet one another, and explore how we might work together to best support you.
A counselling hour is 50 minutes and the first session will provide you with an overview into the counselling process. I will explain the terms and conditions in which I work and support you to identify your needs, establish your goals and explore your expectations and hopes for therapy.
