About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling lost? Struggling and feel as if no one gets it? Are there times when you feel overwhelmed.  Perhaps you are dealing with a difficult situation or something from your past that you would like to explore.  I offer counselling support tailored to your individual needs, in a safe, friendly and non-judgmental space.

I use an integrative approach.  What does this mean for you?  Simply put I will look at using the most appropriate way of working with you to enable you to get to where you want to be.

In addition to talking therapy, I offer different ways of working which include, sand-tray, creative elements, toys, and mindfulness.

I am currently working  via face to face, online, telephone and email.

Practice description

My practice is based in the centre of Wellington, with parking close by and easy access from the M5.

I specialise in therapy for those affected by baby loss.  I have a sound knowledge, interest and lived experience in this.

Alongside my private practice I also work part time as a School Counsellor with children and young people aged 8 – 18 years. I know how important it is that children and young people are supported with their mental health and well-being. I help children and young people to manage their emotions and work with issues ranging from friendship, anxiety, bereavement, through to trauma,  self harm and suicidal feelings. I offer them a safe space and ensure they are listened to and allowed to express their thoughts and emotions without feeling judged.

My first session

I offer a free 20 minute telephone conversation giving you the time, space and opportunity to explore what support you are looking for and how working together will benefit you best.

If you decide to work with me we can then decide on best times and dates for you and the terms and conditions we will work with.

About me and my therapy practice

As a counsellor, my 'day' job is in working with CYP aged 5-16 and my PP focusses on working with adults - primarily with baby loss/infertility - but also adults that present with anxiety, low mood or are simply struggling at present.  I also work with student counsellors.

As an integrative therapist I draw on a number of ways of working including person centred, psychodynamic and creative elements - including art, clay, sandtray and metaphor.

I am interested in working with students and newly qualified counsellors who are working with adults and/or children and young people. As a supervisor I use the seven eyed model and IDM.

Practice description

My qualifications include: BA (Hons) Integrative Counselling, Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision - Including Online and Telephone working.  I also hold an OCST Diploma for Online Counselling

I have been very fortunate in having great supervision in my counselling career and in drawing on this experience, this is what I hope to offer to you. Supervision has enabled me to connect with those that offer practical support, guidance without judgement and meeting my personal needs. I know that finding the right supervisor can be daunting. My hope is that in offering you a safe and supportive space I will be able to aid you and your clients in bringing about personal growth and development.
