Anthony talks about the LGBTQ+ community, particularly black and minority ethnic communities. He talks about statistics and the increase in people talking about different types of trauma, such as:
- childhood abuse, which can be physical, psychological or sexual
- anti-gay bullying, homophobia and racial discrimination
He gives advice on the support a therapist can give, such as, trauma focused cognitive behavioural therapy, person centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy and more.
Anthony also highlights the importance of building a relationship with a therapist who is right for you and can help you explore your intersectional identities such as race, sexuality and gender.
