As summer holidays come to an end, children may feel anxious about the new academic year.
For some children the change in routine can leave them feeling overwhelmed and struggling to cope. As a parent, it can be hard to know what can help them with this.
Our members Jenny Warwick and Amanda Macdonald have created this short video for parents with six tips to help their children with back to school anxiety.
They highlight the importance of open communication, validating their feelings, establishing a routine early on and the importance of positive reinforcement, as well as other useful advice.
