Men and women experience the same emotional and mental health issues such as anxiety, stress and depression.
And men and women face many of the same life challenges such as bereavement, relationship issues, and traumatic experiences.
But men are less likely to go to counselling than women for support with their emotional and mental health issues.
Our Public Perceptions Survey conducted earlier this year found that 39% of women have sought help from a counsellor or a psychotherapist compared to 27% of men.
