Marc Leppard has resigned from our Board of Trustees.
Marc joined our Board at our 2023 AGM, having been appointed as a Trustee and as the Chair of our Public Protection Committee.
He’s stepped down with immediate effect, as he’s taking on a new full time role and no longer has the time available to be a BACP Trustee.
Marc’s departure follows the resignations of our Senior Independent Trustee Ian Jones and fellow Trustee Dr Charlotte Venkatraman earlier this month.
Marc said: “It’s been a difficult decision to step down as a BACP Trustee but, as I’m starting a new full-time role, I unfortunately don’t have the time available needed to devote to BACP.
“I’d like to thank everyone I’ve worked with at BACP in the past year, especially those whose tireless work and dedication ensure BACP fulfils it’s crucial role of public protection.”
Marc added that while the primary reason for his departure is a new role, he also hopes that BACP will address the governance challenges facing the association as a priority.
Our Chair Natalie Bailey said: “I’d like to thank Marc for his service during the past 12 months, and for his contribution to the invaluable work of our Public Protection Committee. I wish him every success for the future.”
The Charity Commission and Companies House will be informed about his departure.
We’ll be recruiting for all three Trustee roles in the near future and will keep members updated.
