I can confirm that Michael Golding, Deputy Chair of our Board of Governors, has stepped down from his role as a member of the BACP Board.
Michael has decided to resign from his position because of his opposition to SCoPEd.
Today, we announced that our Board of Governors had made the decision to adopt SCoPEd.
We have now begun the next phase of work on SCoPEd, which is preparing for the transition period where we will be aligning the SCoPEd columns with our existing membership categories.
We’ll have more information about this for members as it progresses.
Myself and the rest of the Board are sad to see Michael go and respect his decision.
We’d like to thank Michael for his commitment as Deputy Chair, Board member and Chair of our Governance, Remuneration and Nominations (GRaN) committee over the past two years and for his wider contribution to the important work of the Association.
We wish him the very best for the future.
Our annual Governor election will take place later this year as usual, with members able to nominate and vote for candidates to be elected to the Board.
