We’re thrilled our Private Practice Conference was ‘highly commended’ at the Memcom Excellence Awards 2023.

The conference scooped the honour in the best virtual/hybrid event category.

Congratulations to all our events team involved in running such a successful conference, and to the contributors and speakers who played their part in making it a great day for delegates.

Held in September 2022, it was titled Beyond the room – finding your inner entrepreneur and was attended by nearly 900 of our members, in person in London and online.

The conference brought together a range of practitioners who shared their experience and knowledge of building and developing a private practice.

"This award is the culmination of the dedication and commitment of my team to supporting our members in accessing our events digitally both in-person and online.

"We’re devoted to delivering a professional and inclusive service to all our members engaging with our events and I’m so proud this has been recognised with a prestigious award from Memcom, voted by experts across the membership sector."

We were also shortlisted at the awards for the Best Public Awareness Campaign for our Counselling Changes Lives PR and media campaign.

The campaign aims to build public awareness of BACP, promote the role of counselling and psychotherapy and direct the public to our members for support.

We’ve worked with the media agency 23Red on projects including our Therapy Talks video, our Mindometer survey, and most recently our Anxiety Is… campaign.
