We’ve appointed Anna Daroy as interim Chief Executive Officer to lead BACP. Anna begins her new role today (Thursday, 24 November).
Anna has more than 30 years of experience working in both the private and public sectors and has most recently been CEO of the Institute of Directors and Chief Operating Officer of the Government of Jersey.
She is a council member of the UK Rural Policy Group and Chair of the Corporation Board at Warwickshire College Group (WCG).
I’m thrilled about the knowledge and experience Anna will bring to BACP over the next year or so and how we’ll draw on that as the Association develops and transitions to a new five-year strategy.
The Board is looking forward to working with Anna over the next year or so.
I’m also pleased to share a comment from Anna.
Anna says: “I’m excited to be joining BACP at such an important time for the Association. I hope to bring stability and certainty to the organisation for both staff and members.
“The increasing need and recognition for therapy means that it is an even more important time to influence at a policy level for BACP. This is a significant moment for members to provide high standards of service to individuals and the community to ensure we all benefit from a healthy state of mind and increased access to therapy.
“There is much work to do and I look forward to meeting with members as we embark on delivering the strategy for the next five years.”
All of us at BACP are focussed on continuing to champion the counselling professions and ensuring the Association continues to work hard to support you as you make a positive difference in people’s lives.
Thank you for your continued support.
