We’re encouraging members to contribute to a new government data protection consultation.
The government is consulting on reforms which it says will create an ambitious, pro-growth and innovation-friendly data protection regime that underpins the trustworthy use of data.
Responses will provide the government with evidence to help shape any future reforms.
The consultation seeks responses from as broad a set of respondents as possible, and we’ll respond from an organisational standpoint.
We’d also encourage our members to consider engaging individually with this important inquiry.
The questions in the consultation are varied and may apply to some members and not others.
However, members in private practice may be particularly interested in Chapter 2 – Reducing burdens on businesses and delivering better outcomes for people.
Read more on how to submit your views. The consultation closes at 11.45pm on November 19.
