Our members have given a powerful and passionate account of how counselling changes lives in a series of short videos to mark Time to Talk Day.
The annual campaign, run by Time to Change, aims to encourage people to be more open about their mental health.
One of our trustees Sekinat Adima, as well as members Natasha Clewley, Alison Hotchkiss, Lina Mookerjee, and Vasia Toxavidi, all recorded the videos of themselves speaking about the value of counselling and the difference it can make in people’s lives.
Sekinat said: “Friends and family are good with listening and helping, but there comes a time when they’re not always available or they’re not always able to help. That’s where counselling comes in. The ability to be able to talk to someone who’s professionally trained, who can listen, who’s impartial and who does that in a non-judgemental way.”
Watch the video to hear what they all had to say about counselling.
