Join us for a free webinar exploring the impact of Covid-19 on BAME communities.
David Weaver, Myira Khan and Dr Dwight Turner will examine the significant and disproportionate impact Covid-19 has had on Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities.
They will also discuss the culturally appropriate therapeutic needs of the BAME communities impacted by the pandemic.
David, the president of BACP, said: “We’ll be speaking about the significant and disproportionate impact that Covid-19 is having and will continue to have on Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities in this country.
“Critically, it will look at how the counselling profession can learn, respond and best support these communities moving forward.
“Counselling changes lives, and we need to have a conversation about what we can do now, in the moment, where race is such an important issue.
“It’s a really important conversation.”
The webinar takes place from 10am to 11.30am on Tuesday, July 28.
Members will be able to network with other practitioners via a chatroom and submit questions to our panel.
