More than 2,500 people have taken part in a free course on online counselling which has been produced by The Open University in partnership with BACP.
The course, How to do counselling online: A coronavirus primer, was launched last week and The Open University says 500 digital badges – for completing all sections of a course and passing the assessments – have already been awarded.
The course was written by Open University academics Naomi Moller and Andreas Vossler, together with BACP, in response to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
The free CPD aims to provide a primer on working online as a counsellor or psychotherapist at a time when face-to-face therapy is neither possible nor safe.
The course provides advice and guidance on how to offer technology-based counselling safely and effectively.
We hope you find it useful.
