Knitting, art and video games are just some of the ways that people in the UK look after their mental wellbeing.
We’ve produced this infographic for Mental Health Awareness Week – which this year is themed kindness – to show how people are kind to themselves and manage their own personal stress levels.
The results are from our Public Perception Survey, which we conducted with YouGov. The survey shows that 11% of people use meditation to manage their personal stress levels.
The survey found that 7% of people go walking or running, 7% enjoy me time, being alone or self-care and that church, praying and spirituality are important for 6% of people.
We’re asking people on our social media channels how they are kind to themselves, particularly during the coronavirus crisis and lockdown.
