CALLING THERAPISTS WORKING WITH CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE (AGED 5-18 YEARS)!

Hello, my name is Shelley, and I am a post-graduate student completing dissertation research as part of my MSc Psychology (Conversion) at Manchester Metropolitan University. The research is being supervised by Dr Gillian McChesney.

The study is investigating Therapists experiences of working with children and young people's mental health and emotional wellbeing post-pandemic. The objectives are to gain understanding of the mental health concerns of children and young people (aged 5-18 years) post-pandemic, Therapists perspectives of any impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the barriers and facilitators to good mental health and emotional wellbeing. It is important that we continue to monitor and respond to the emotional needs of children and young people.

Ethical approval has been granted for the study by the Faculty of Health and Education Research Ethics and Governance committee at Manchester Metropolitan University and this includes approval to recruit participants online, such as via social media and forums. EthOS ID 72952.
