Are you a voluntary childless counsellor or psychotherapist?
Research Title: Where the Personal Meets the Professional: The Stories of Voluntary Childless Therapists.
Research Aim: My name is Lisa Winfield and as a voluntary childless therapist I am looking to hear the stories of other voluntary childless/childfree therapists, the feelings that come up for you about your personal choices, and how you navigate these choices in your professional life (client work, supervision, training & CPD).
The criteria for participation are:
· You are a woman aged 40 or over who identifies as voluntarily childless.
· You are a BACP registered counsellor or psychotherapist.
· You have not been through IVF, have no medical reasons not to have children and have not been in a maternal role either through adoption or caring for a partner’s children.
· You are not childfree through circumstance.
What’s involved: Approximately a 1 – 1 ½ hour interview between July and August 2024 at a time and location convenient for you.
