Exploring experiences of Children’s and Young People’s Counsellors working within Neurodiversity

My name is Gemma, I am a Children’s and Young People’s Counsellor currently studying a MSc in Counselling Children and Young People at The University of Northampton.

As part of my degree, I am conducting a research study exploring experiences of working within neurodiversity as a Child and Young People Counsellor.

I am looking to recruit qualified Children’s and Young People’s Counsellors who meet the following criteria:

• Qualified for one year or more.
• Registered with professional counselling/psychotherapy body such as BACP/UKCP/NCPS.
• Has experience of working within neurodiversity with children and young people.

Participation in this study is voluntary. Your identity as a participant will remain confidential during and after the study.

Participation will involve semi-structured interviews either face to face or online via the Northampton University Collaboration programme.

You will have the right to withdraw your consent at any time either during or after the process up two weeks after the interviews have taken place.

A copy of the published research will be available upon request. Please let me know if you wish to view it and I will arrange this once the research has been concluded and published.
