Advanced research is often carried out in isolation, and for counselling and psychotherapy research students this can take place in a university department in Psychology or Health sciences, or in the broader social sciences, with sometimes little support beyond the immediate supervisory team.
The BACP Postgraduate Research Forum is a platform for counselling and psychotherapy masters and PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, or anyone thinking about undertaking postgraduate research. Here you can exchange ideas, discuss your research interests, pool advice and become involved in a peer support network.
The forum hosts regular monthly discussions as well providing the digital space for ongoing debate and work-sharing. In the future we may hold research seminars and other events, but the direction of the forum will be led by its members.
If you would like to join the BACP Postgraduate Research Forum please email to research@bacp.co.uk.
