Workplace counselling is widely acknowledged as a valuable way for organisations to support their employees’ mental health and wellbeing.
Demand for workplace counselling is increasing, creating a growing number of opportunities for counsellors to work in this area.
There are unique elements to workplace counselling which require specific knowledge and understanding. Our workplace counselling competence framework identifies the competences required for counsellors to practise safely and effectively in this area.
It also provides a user guide for workplace counselling services, clients accessing workplace counselling and employers wishing to commission these services.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the framework, email us at professional.standards@bacp.co.uk
