AdaPT project - benefits for practice video transcript
What are the benefits of routine outcome measures and Pragmatic Tracker to your practice?
Ambrose Gillham, BACP Accredited Counsellor
I find Tracker useful as a support to my private practice, it helps me organize and manage my caseload. For example, I use it to set up sessions for the coming week, to send reminders to clients, brief request feedback after sessions and to ask the clients to complete the routine outcome measures. I like the way Tracker helps me monitor client progress. Reviewing the charts often provides me with useful information as I prepare for the next session.
Carol Fare, BACP Registered Counsellor
The benefits to me and my practice of using routine outcome measures is that it is another source of information about my client’s experience, both of their life as a whole and our counselling sessions as well. The information it offers me is really rich and gives a depth to what’s going on in a client’s life, where their challenges are, where their struggles are and also how they are experiencing our counselling sessions, and this helps me to make sure that our sessions are really focusing on the things that are going to give the most benefits to my client.
Daniela Lourenco, UKCP/BACP Registered Psychotherapist
I have joined this project earlier this year and it has been an asset to my practice. The platform is very easy to use and it offers a wide range of outcome measures for adults and young people and it helps me with assessing the clients’ needs and level of risk as well as monitoring our work as it progresses. The platform also stores the clients’ details securely, it is encrypted and is GDPR compliant. Also by joining this project I have a better understanding of the importance of outcome measures for research purposes and the credibility of our profession
